Brian Niven Park
Brian Niven Park has long been widely regarded as having the best football surface in Central Queensland Having originally been the home of Wolves Soccer club from the 1980's through until the club changed direction and became the CQ Mariners in 2013 to persue an NPL licence and participate in the ICC competition. Founding member and longtime President of the Wolves club, Brian Niven has been an instrumental part of the facility since the beginning and preparation of the playing surface. After several successful years of competition for the CQ Mariners, the ICC competition was disbanded and after considering several options the CQ Mariners decided to fold in 2019 and transfer Brian Niven Park to Central Football Club With our club having out grown Sun Valley Park in recent years the decision to expand to Brian Niven Park was an easy one for our club. Having 350 registered players and with 7 Senior teams which is the largest Senior participation of any club in the Central Queensland Zone guarantees the future of Brian Niven Park is once again bright and will again return to being a regular venue on the football scene. |
