2023 President's Message
I'm very pleased to report that the club has grown substantially this year in both Junior and Senior participation.
Last year we fielded 25 junior teams for kids aged from 5 to 16 years old, as well as 7 Senior teams with our 2 Community Ladies teams and a FQPL Ladies Team also returning to having 4 Men’s teams with 2 FQPL Mens teams and 2 local community Men’s teams.
Accommodating all the new teams and having everything ready would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication and passion of our fantastic committee and I would like to thank them for the time they volunteer to ensure our club continues to prosper.
Developing our junior players is a priority for the club and this year we are focused on providing increased support to our coaches as well as an age specific structured training program to take the skill level of our junior players to the next level and assist them to reach their potential.
After a strong end to the 2022 from our Junior competitive sides all making it to the Grand Finals.
This year sees us nominating U13, U14 & U16 teams in the FQPL Junior competitions. This is a great achievement from both coaches & players.
Our Senior teams also had a very successful season with 4 teams making the finals and our ladies FQPL team making the Grand Final for another year.
Most of all it was great to see all our teams playing in the spirit of the game and with great comradery which are the values our club was founded on.
Central Football Club really is a family club, and that sentiment has never been stronger.
I'm looking forward to the great season ahead and another year being a part of this fantastic club
